La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Winnie

The location was convenient in my travel and the place was clean and well cared for. The customer service helped tremendously. The greatest benefit was that it was close to a very fine restaurant making getting a hearty meal a pleasure. It is important to any traveler, even if the room is pristine, that a good meal is easily accessible by a short walk. This location is great for that.

I stayed here several nights while working in the area. The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was the same every day, hot scrambled eggs, sausage and new potatoes with onions and sweet peppers, plus the usual hotel breakfast food but there was a waffle maker. The rooms were well kept. I stayed in 4 different rooms not expecting to be back there every day but I had some breakdowns that kept me coming back. I was very happy with my stay and all of the rooms.

I’m leaving a 4 star review because we requested a wake up call that never came & the electrical box for the exterior AC units were not attached properly & we’re very unsafe. The upside was very comfortable tempropedic medium to hard mattress. It felt wonderful to help my back straighten. They had a great breakfast laid out. The entire facility was quiet.

There's room for r improvement. This location is in a semi small town thus resulting in a few off things. The adjoining room door had no lock just tape over the hole. The room was a bit sticky and humid which is to be expected at the coast but the activities unit had no filters and was fairly clogged. The morning breakfast was acceptable for the most however the eggs were dry and crunchy both mornings and the sausage uncooked.

We stopped here for one night on a road trip from California to Tennessee. It's a great location for a quick stop. Good parking and security for trucks/trailers. We appreciated that our two cats were welcome. Very friendly staff and breakfast was good. Just know that the rooms are fairly run down. My room had several issues. Toilet didn't want to flush. Missing light bulbs in lamps. Torn wall paper and damage to walls. Shampoo/conditoner bottles had ripped off the shower wall. My sheets had red stains on them. If you can get past all that, it was comfortable and a great value.

Excellent staff, room, AC, parking, and breakfast were OK. Just get ready for taxes: a $88 room was $106 after tax.. but maybe that is Winnie City Government's fault.

All hotel staff was nice and helpful. Rooms were nice, clean and cold. Just a few issues to mention. $6 dollars for a very small bottle of laundry soap. No quarters to exchange for use in the laundry room on premises. No towels cleaned and ready for guests upon arrival except 2 in each room. We were a group of 6 with 2 rooms. We only asked for 2 more towels! Please get conditioner for guest rooms. 2 bottles of shampoo in each room is just silly. Breakfast was okay, but it would have been pleasant to have water or juice be available, not just milk for the cereal in a carafe, coffee or hot water for the green tea. Overall it was a place to sleep and shower after having family adventure’s all day long. The price is good for what you get. We would stay again, only next time we’d come prepared.

This hotel is fine for the price. The beds are comfortable and there isn't any road noise from the nearby interstate. The rooms are clean. The breakfast was pretty sparse. There was not a hair dryer in our room and the 3rd floor carpet in the hallway smelled musty.
